Affirmation poster

In the story you can read about how Pablo get's more confident about his plans when he starts to tell others about it and they respond possitively. This will also work for you.
We are going to make a poster. A poster with a slogan which you have to think up yourself: The slogan must be a personal affirmation message. An example of this is "I will become a great nurse", "I can bring peace to my life", "I want to see love in the world."
Anything possitive that you would like to see happening or that you can do, is a good affirmation. The idea behind this is that any message we send out and communicate and think about has a greater chance of really happening, so think positive messages about you and your future and it will happen.

Step 1. Decide if you want to work on the computer or on paper. On the computer you can work with the program Word and use word art or you can work with Paint for example. On paper you can work with crayons, coloring pencils or paint, or collages from magazines.
Step 2. Type your chosen affirmation slogan.
Step 3. Select the letters and change the color and the font.
Step 4. If you want to use word art, go to: Insert: Picture: Word Art or Autoshapes and then choose styles or shapes.
Keep designing until you have a good clear layout for your poster. And don't forget to save your file.
About making slogans
The snappier the text, the better. Keep it simple. Rhyme works.
About poster layout
A good poster is catchy to the eye and easy to read, has a clear and understandable message with convincing arguments and/or slogan. The posters can be made in a short time, using Word, word art, different fonts and colors. Students can also insert symbols, smiley's or other kinds of signs that may be appropriate to liven up their posters. If you have an internet connection you can download images from the web and use them in your posters.
